CRP and osteomyelitis: After removal, graft reimplantation within 3 to 6 weeks has furthermore shown promising results without waiting the recommended 6 to 9 months if the following criteria are fulfilled: no bone involvement (no osteomyelitis), favorable clinical evolution, decreasing CRP (normal value is not required), absence of difficult-to-treat infections caused by a microorganism that is resistant to biofilm-active antibiotics.
