TLR2 and breast neoplasm: EVs derived from breast tumors can interact with Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) on macrophages, stimulating the nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) signaling pathway and increasing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) (54).
