Among these, 10 regions, proximal to or within the genes OVAAL, BMP3, RIOK1, AC096553.5, MCPH1, KCNU1, GLIS3, TUT7, TRIB3, and SYNDIG1, represent novel associations with MI and have not been previously linked to Cardiovascular disease (CVD)-related traits.
