These genes were involved in the same molecular pathways as DEGs, and 11 of them (ANXA2, CD44, COL6A3, DCN, ENO2, GAPDH, MMP7, P4HB, SERPINH1, TGFBI, and TIMP1) were correlated with poor prognosis in renal cell carcinoma at the mRNA level when the median cut-off was used. This evidence concerns the gene CD44 and renal cell carcinoma.
