GH1 and cancer: In light of the increased murine lifespan associated with GH deficiency (Bartke, 2020; Colon et al., 2019; Young et al., 2021) as well as the observed cancer absence in patients harboring a GHR mutation that disrupts GH signaling (Guevara‐Aguirre et al., 2011; Johannsson & Kopchick, 2021), these results suggest that induced SASP npGH may constitute an adverse signal contributing to age‐associated diseases (Kopchick et al., 2022).
