2) In our preliminary study, consistent with the literature, OLE exhibited anti-tumor properties in MCF7 and CSC cells (Fig. Suppl. 2a and 2b)., while the expression of apoptotic markers was not detected in non-tumorigenic MCF12A cells (Fig. Suppl. 2c). In the case of MCF7 and CSC cells, it was found that a 7-hour treatment with 200 μg/mL OLE was the most effective condition leading to an increase in apoptotic markers (Caspase-3, Caspase-9 and Bax) [17].
