In particular, this study reports the inhibitory effect of this extract on oral cancer cells by regulating several cell-signaling pathways, including adenosine monophosphate-activated kinase (AMPK), signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) pathways. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and lip and oral cavity carcinoma.
