Our study was implemented to explore the hypothesis that mitochondrial dysfunction may be responsible for demyelination and focused on the sterol regulatory proteins Srebp2, Gsk3β, and Pyk2 to elucidate the mechanism by which leukoencephalopathy develops in mice with neuron-specific conditional knockout of p32 (p32cKO). This evidence concerns the gene GSK3B and Leukoencephalopathy.
