Patients with Ph+ CML in the chronic phase (n = 40; mean age, 40 ± 11 years) were recruited to complete assessments consisting of clinical examination and blood test, including evaluation of complete blood counts and the JAK2 levels, at baseline and following 3 months of therapy with imatinib (at an oral dose of 400 mg per day). This evidence concerns the gene JAK2 and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
