In this research, the dCasRx translation enhancement system was utilized to simultaneously target the FTH1 gene, boost the protein translation of FTH1 in HK-2 cells and kidney stone mouse models, elevate FTH1 protein expression, effectively reduce ferroptosis, and protect against cell-crystal damage caused by CaOx crystals, ultimately preventing kidney stone formation. The gene discussed is FTH1; the disease is nephrolithiasis.
