Since the role of YANK2 in glioma has not been reported, first, we analyzed The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Chinese Glioma Database (CGGA) and found that YANK2 mRNA levels were not only significantly higher in GBM tissue than in normal brain tissue but also higher in IDH-wide type (IDH-WT) glioma than in IDH-mutant glioma; in addition, these patients with high YANK2 expression also had poor prognosis (Fig. 1A, B and Fig. S1A, B). This evidence concerns the gene STK32B and glioblastoma.
