KIF22 and cancer: Then, knockdown of KIF22 in MM cells significantly inhibited the proliferation and caused G2/M phase cell cycle arrest, consistent with previous studies showing that KIF22 could influence the development of cancers such as pancreatic cancer (Zhang et al. 2022), breast cancer (Yu et al. 2014) and gastric cancer (Yu et al. 2020) by promoting cell proliferation and cell cycle dysfunction.
