CRP and diabetes mellitus: Supplementary tables S5, S6 and S7 describe the sensitivity and specificity of CRP in reference to MRS and SXRS, by HIV status, diabetes status, and sex, respectively. At a 5 mg/L cut-point, CRP did not achieve the minimum 90% target for sensitivity or 70% target for specificity in any sub-population in reference to MRS but sensitivity reached 90% among PWH in reference to sputum Xpert results alone. Among PWD, sensitivity of CRP exceeded 90% among certain diabetes sub-groups, including those with newly diagnosed diabetes and those with HbA1c <7% (Table S8).
