Higher pre-biologic BEC concentrations were, however, associated with greater improvements in lung function (anti-IgE and anti-IL5/5R therapies) and better asthma control (anti-IL5/5R therapies), a finding supported by others, who showed that sputum T2 markers (e.g. eosinophil count) seemed to be potentially predictive of super-response and remission after anti-IL5/5R therapy in a cohort of patients with severe eosinophilic asthma (43, 44).
