CRP and hypertensive disorder: When a multivariable model was fit with the MBDA-based CVD risk score and seven demographic or clinical CVD risk factors (age, sex, CRP, diabetes, hypertension, history of other CVD, and tobacco use), the MBDA-based CVD risk score added significant, independent predictive information to the model, with an HR of 2.27 (95% CI: 1.68–3.06, p = 1.7×10−7) (Table 2).
