In 1112 women included in the secondary analysis of PETRA (Preeclampsia Triage by Rapid Assay Trial)17 of concealed PlGF testing, low PlGF <100 pg/mL was significantly associated with composite maternal adverse outcomes (6.2% versus 1.9%; adjusted RR, 3.6 [95% CI, 1.7–8.0]) and composite neonatal adverse outcomes (9.2% versus 0.8%; adjusted RR, 17.2 [95% CI, 5.2–56.3]). The gene discussed is PGF; the disease is preeclampsia.
