Remarkably, cluster analysis of the heat map showed that low levels of immune potential indicators (e.g., CD4+ T-cell count, CD8+ T-cell count, and HLA-DR expression on monocytes) coexisted with high levels of inhibitory cells (e.g., Treg cells, M-MDSCs, and Th2 cells), and inflammatory cytokines were the most prominent characteristics in sepsis patients when comparing bacteremia patients or HCs (Figure 1E). The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is bacterial infectious disease with sepsis.
