Consistent with this notion, we found that immune indicators including proinflammatory cells (monocytes, NK cells, DCs, Th1, Th17, and Tfh cells, as well as CD4+ and CD8+ T cells), anti-inflammatory cells (MDSCs, Treg cells, and Th2 cells), and inflammatory cytokines were markedly altered in sepsis.
