A recent research that carried out in mice model, revealed DNMT3A as a direct target of miR-29, has an important role in postnatal mammalian brain development and its upregulation during knock out of miR-29 associated with neurobehavioral sequelae as seen in autism spectrum disorders, epilepsy, and schizophrenia [19].
