Additional differences were observed in the percentages of patients with a previous diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (16.7% vs. 33.3%, p = 0.038) and home-based dietary therapy (18.5% vs. 6.1%, p = 0.034), as well as in the percentage of patients treated exclusively with insulin (11.1% vs. 30.3%, p = 0.011). This evidence concerns the gene INS and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
