MAPT and Parkinson disease: In the case of the putamen, the absence of significant binding increase in CN-PD patients with other tau tracers, including the fluorinated derivative of [11C]PBB3, [18F]PM-PBB336, which has a higher tau selectivity and higher signal-to-noise ratio, lends support to our interpretation that our findings reflect α-syn rather than tau binding, although this should be confirmed in further studies.
