Up-regulated METTL3 drives oncogenic tumor growth in many types of adult malignancies including lung, breast, and colon cancers.4,20,37 In AML, METTL3 increases mRNA stability and translation of m6A-marked oncogenes such as MYC.38–40 However, in other neoplasms, including endometrial cancer, decreased m6A levels are associated with tumor growth. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is colonic neoplasm.
