Comparison between the enriched KEGG pathway terms in F-AD vs. F- controls and M-AD vs. M- controls from the CA1 region indicated five common pathways between males and females with AD: (i) IL-17 signaling pathway (hsa04657), (ii) Fluid shear stress and atherosclerosis (hsa05418), (iii) Oxytocin signaling pathway (hsa04921), (v) MAPK signaling pathway (hsa04010), and (vi) Glutamatergic synapse (hsa04724) (Figure 4A). This evidence concerns the gene OXT and Alzheimer disease.
