Characteristic COVID-19 symptoms (i.e., anosmia and ageusia) and symptoms of more severe disease (i.e., fever) were more frequently reported in participants with a positive IFNγ ELISpot response, while non-specific symptoms (i.e., cough, throat soreness, rhinorrhea, and headache) were associated with a negative IFNγ ELISpot. This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and Anosmia.
