Since the potent and specific inhibitors of ERK signaling cascade have been shown to be effective for the treatment of various cancers including ovarian, breast, and pancreatic cancer [33], SELENOW, which is constitutively expressed via ERK-mediated feed-forward signaling, may be served as a possible therapeutic target for the drug development of multiple myeloma with osteolytic lesions.
