In a recent study, the memory dysfunction induced by trigeminal neuralgia was related to a reduction in the activities of the c‐AMP‐responsive element binding protein (CREB)/BDNF pathway, which plays a substantial role in the remodeling of synapses and consolidation of memory (Kooshki, Abbasnejad, Mahani, et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene BDNF and trigeminal nerve disorder.
