Studies have shown that rosmarinic acid blocks the G2/S cycle in pancreatic carcinoma cells by adjusting the communication of cyclin E, BAX and Bcl-2; inhibits the migration and invasion of pancreatic cancer cells through E-cadherin and Matrix metallopeptidase 9 (MMP-9); and inhibits tumor growth [71]. Here, MMP9 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
