Saikosaponin D (SSD) could attenuate cancer cachexia by directly inhibiting signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) expression [64] as well as attenuate peripheral neuropathy in diabetic rats by regulating the Aquaporin 1 (AQP1)/Ras homolog family member A (RhoA)/Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK) signaling pathway [65].
