A recent study demonstrated that nine genes (CD274, CEACAM1, CR1, FCGR1A/B, IFITM1, IRAK3, LILRA6, MAPK14, and PDCD1LG2) showed 100% sensitivity and specificity that distinguished patients with active TB from those with other lung diseases (OPD). The gene discussed is LILRA6; the disease is tuberculosis.
