After our detection of m6A “writers” and “erasers” in the palatine process mesenchyme of cleft palate mice, it was found that the m6A methyltransferase METTL14 was abnormally elevated throughout the entire period of palate development, and was positively correlated with the m6A methylation modification level and negatively correlated with cell proliferation. This evidence concerns the gene METTL14 and cleft palate.
