Among the lipid transporter genes, the expression of genes involved in the transport of fatty acids, namely, solute carrier family 26 (fatty acid transporter) member 4 (Slc27a4, p = 0.059), showed an increasing trend, but this was not statistically significant, whereas genes associated with the transport of phospholipids, such as ATP-binding cassette subfamily member 1 (Abca1, p < 0.05) and scavenger receptor class B member 1 (Scar1, p < 0.005), exhibited a significant upregulation in the HF + AD group (Figure 6A,B). Here, SCARB1 is linked to Alzheimer disease.
