The mean levels of cleaved chemerin were significantly higher in T2D participants (64 ± 7.7 ng/mL) than in IS (31 ± 3.1 ng/mL, p < 0.0001), IM (21 ± 1.6 ng/mL, p < 0.0001), and IR (39 ± 3.7 ng/mL, p = 0.0016) participants (Figure 5A and Table 3). This evidence concerns the gene RARRES2 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
