RGS5 and Parkinson disease: The regulator of G protein signaling 5 (RGS5) can induce neuroinflammation via the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) signaling pathway, contributing to neurodegeneration in conditions like Parkinson’s disease, with TLR4 mediating downstream factors of this pathway and regulating NF-κB activation through nuclear translocation [131,219].
