Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is a systemic autoimmune disorder occurring due to antibodies against phospholipid-binding plasma proteins (antiphospholipid antibodies [aPL]), mainly lupus anticoagulant test (LA), anticardiolipin antibodies (aCL), and anti-β2-glycoprotein-I antibodies (aβ2GPI). This evidence concerns the gene FASLG and autoimmune polyendocrinopathy.
