HNF1A-AS1 was first reported to be abnormally upregulated in esophageal tumorigenesis [1] and continuingly reported to be involved in proliferation and metastasis in various carcinomas, including lung adenocarcinoma [2,3], gastric adenocarcinoma [4,5], hepatocellular carcinoma [6,7], colorectal carcinoma [8,9], and other cancers [10,11]. This evidence concerns the gene HNF1A and hepatocellular carcinoma.
