The frequency of HLA-A*32 (p = 0.004) was higher in the control group when compared to the COVID-19-infected individuals, and HLA-A*03 (p = 0.047), HLA-B*39 (p = 0.02), and HLA-C*16 (p = 0.02) alleles were more prevalent in COVID-19-infected participants compared to healthy individuals; but, after multiple assessments modification, the p-values were insignificant. Here, HLA-B is linked to COVID-19.
