Despite 62.5% of SARS-CoV-2-positive patients being asymptomatic and 37.5% exhibiting mild symptoms in our study population, we also observed a higher sFlt-1/PlGF ratio in the SARS-CoV-2 group compared to the control group, consistent with the conclusion of Kosinska-Kaczynska et al. In addition, they proposed that patients with severe COVID-19 had a higher sFlt-1/PlGF ratio than those with non-severe COVID-19. The gene discussed is PGF; the disease is COVID-19.
