Multiple transcription factors have been implicated in PRMT5 overexpression in different cancer subtypes, including nuclear transcription factor Y (NF-Y) in prostate cancer, nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and the fused MLL-1 protein in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) [37,38,39]. This evidence concerns the gene KMT2A and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
