While most attention has been devoted to human LRRK2 due to its link with PD, we used a bacterial homolog from the bacterium C. tepidum (CtRoco), which consists of the LRR, Roc, and COR (CORA/CORB) domains, followed by a C-terminal region of about 150 residues with unknown structure. The gene discussed is LRRK2; the disease is Parkinson disease.
