Valent and other researchers reported that a specific type of LSCs in CML called CD34+/CD38-/Lin- co-expresses CD26 and this characteristically distinguishes CML LSCs from normal HSCs more effectively than other previously identified stem cell markers like IL1-RAP, CD25, and CD90 [5,6].
