METTL16 and cancer: The identified inhibitors, such as 45 and 47, disrupted the METTL16–RNA interaction (single-digitmicromolar inhibition potency), bound to METTL16 MTD (single-digitmicromolar KD), inhibited the methyltransferaseactivity of METTL16 MTD, suppressed cell viability and colony formationagainst cancer cells at varied extents, and modulated METTL16-relatedcellular pathways.
