CERS5 and central nervous system cancer: In conclusion, the AS isoforms from the AS signature we defined here affect different hallmarks of cancer including metabolism (PKM2) (25), Src-signaling (FYN) (29), mitosis (NDE1) (27), ceramide synthesis (CERS5), and SHP2-signaling (MPZL1), thereby contributing together to the malignancy and heterogeneity of gliomas.
