ATP2C1 and lung carcinoma: In reconstitution studies carried out on GOLIM4-deficient cells, a short form of GOLIM4 that lacked the alternatively spliced exon (GOLIM4-ΔE7) did not bind to ATP2C1 (Figure 5B and Supplemental Figure 7B) or rescue secretory, tumorigenic, or metastatic activities of GOLIM4-deficient lung cancer cells (Figure 5, C–H).
