VIM and cancer: As the hallmark gene enrichment and the Cancer Single-cell State Atlas consistently demonstrated a significant regulatory influence of C1GALT1 on the EMT which is an important biological change that plays an important role in inducing radioresistance (Hay 2005; Josson et al. 2010; Tiwari et al. 2012), the present study further investigates the expression of pivotal EMT markers (E-cadherin, N-cadherin and vimentin) in irradiated LUAD A549 and H1299 cells.
