Taking advantage of the potential positive immune interaction between standard care and vaccination, a multi-centre phase 1 clinical study involving 33 newly diagnosed WHO grade 3 and 4 IDH1-R132H-positive astrocytomas (NCT02454634) demonstrated favourable tolerability of IDH1-R132H-specific polypeptide vaccines. This evidence concerns the gene IDH1 and astrocytoma (excluding glioblastoma).
