As previous research suggests that LRG1 can induce angiogenesis [11], the increased level of serum LRG1 in ccRCC may partially explain the difference in vascularity between ccRCC and non-ccRCC, although VEGF and PDGF are the major factors associated with angiogenesis in RCC [18].
