Leucocytes and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were elevated in both groups but showed no statistically significant differences (leucocytes: without tumours 12.8 ± 4.6 vs. with tumours 11.3 ± 3.7 G/l; p = 0.177; CRP: without tumours 57.7 ± 70.0 vs. with tumours 54.2 ± 69.0 mg/l; p = 0.838). Here, CRP is linked to neoplasm.
