Malat1 lncRNA has been implicated in the pathogenesis of various diseases, including cancer, diabetes, non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease, inflammatory response, and neurodegenerative diseases.[28] Excessive cellular oxidative stress is a common characteristic of these diseases, and Malat1 lncRNA has been shown to play a regulatory role in oxidative stress responses.[29] Consistent with previous reports,[30] hepatic oxidative stress plays a significant role in DON toxicity and liver damage. This evidence concerns the gene MALAT1 and diabetes mellitus.
