The study also established a significant association between PSORS1C1 (rs9263726) and allopurinol-induced SJS/TEN, although PSORS1C1 (rs9263726) was in absolute linkage disequilibrium with HLA-B*58:01, but this still suggested that PSORS1C1 could be an alternative biomarker for predicting allopurinol-induced SJS/TEN in Japanese patients because this SNP is easy to genotype [13].
