Compared to plasma levels from TB suspects from which TB diagnosis was excluded (n = 20; clinical characteristics provided as supplementary table 2), the plasma of TB patients had more IP-10 (Mann–Whitney, p = 0.0007) and less MIP-1β (p < 0.0001) as well as less MCP-1 (p < 0.0001) (Fig. 5A–C, upper panels). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL10 and tuberculosis.
