Shukla et al. (2014) recorded a potent antioxidant impact of PANTO as these investigators demonstrated a significant increase in the level of the reduced glutathione (GSH) and the activities of SOD and CAT enzymes in animals afflicted with reflux esophagitis suggesting the enhancement of the antioxidant status and the decreased oxidative stress due to treatment with PANTO. Here, SOD1 is linked to gastroesophageal reflux disease.
